Former Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute PI.
Selected as a high-level young talent introduced from overseas in 2016, he was named one of the "35 Innovators Under 35" in China by MIT Technology Review in 2018, won the "Qiu Shi Outstanding Young Scholar Award" in 2019, and received the first-class prize for scientific and technological progress in Shanghai in 2020 (ranking third). He has published (including accepted) more than 100 papers as the corresponding or first author in high-level journals and conferences such as Nature, Nature Machine Intelligence, TPAMI, and CVPR, and has served as a reviewer for Science and Nature Machine Intelligence. He has also served as the program chair for CVM 2018, and area chair for CVPR 2020, ICCV 2021, and IROS 2021. He mainly engages in research in computer vision and robotics, has achieved a number of breakthrough research results, and has open-sourced international advanced level artificial intelligence frameworks and datasets such as Alphapose (a human pose estimation system with more than 5000 GitHub stars), HAKE (Human Activity Engine), and GraspNet (a high-performance robotic grasping system).
